KING ROAD DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

Dieringers Properties, Inc along with Joseph Hughes Construction began reconstruction of the existing King Road Retail Center located at Harrison Street and King Road in fall of 2003. The redevelopment project will take place in 4 phases. Phase's I and II have been completed and Phase III is under construction. 

Phase I was the construction of the new 2,326 square foot Super Burrito fast food restaurant on the west side of the lot near the existing Texaco gas station and relocated the existing Super Burrito to that site. 

Phase II, demolish the old existing Super Burrito and constructed a 8,500 square foot retail building where the existing tenants in the King Road Super Center relocated. 

Phase III, demolition of the Kentucky Fried Chicken building took place in Fall 2004 to make way for a new 2-story 11,500 square foot office building. Completion of the new office building is expected sometime in the summer of 2005.

CITY OF MILWAUKIE NEW PUBLIC WORKS OPERATIONS BUILDING

Construction of a new 2-story 5,600 square foot building began in July, 2004. The facility will be utilized by the staff in streets, water, sewer and storm departments. They will be relocating from their existing site which is a temporary trailer located slightly NW of the new building. Public Works hope to occupy the new building by fall 2005.

 

NEW SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE

Lewis & Clark Homes completed construction of 2 quaint side by side single family residences in November 2004 adding a fresh look to this 29th Avenue neighborhood.

 

CENTEX HOMES LAKE ROAD SUBDIVISION

Centex Homes began construction of the first new single-family residence on this 17 lot Subdivision in March 2004. This new subdivision, Maplewood Court, is located off Lake Road and Vernie Avenue. Construction of 16 new single-family residences is expected to be completed in late fall/winter 2004. The original homestead still exists among the new development.

 

PROVIDENCE HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ROOM / MRI ADDITION

Providence Hospital is continually upgrading, remodeling and adding on to better serve their patients. Types of construction consists of anywhere from small improvements to large additions like this 16,800 square foot addition of the Emergency Room / MRI which was constructed in 2003. In the year 2000 a new 3-story medical office building was constructed across the street from the hospitals original location on 32nd Avenue.
