It’s hard to believe but the Milwaukie Farmer’s Market will open for its eight season on Sunday, May 14th in the parking lot across from City Hall (1107222 SE Main St.). Each year Milwaukie’s Market establishes itself as one of the best in the region, evidenced by the fact all of the vendors from the previous year will be back for the 2006 season. Because the Texaco site behind the Market will be demolished and cleared before the Market’s opening, Market organizer Brendan Eiswerth hopes to add even more booths and gain even more popularity by gaining visibility from motorists traveling along McLoughlin Boulevard. The Market is open from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Sunday, and its season runs through October. So come on down, listen to the great live music that’s featured every Sunday, pick from the region’s finest produce, and visit with your neighbors at the Milwaukie Farmer’s Market.
