With the season's heavy rains many Milwaukie residents are unfortunately forced to think about fortifying their property against flooding.

 The City of Milwaukie provides free sand bags for its citizens. Residents of Milwaukie can pickup sand bags at the Public Works facility located at 6101 SE Johnson Creek Boulevard. 

Citizens are asked to stop and sign-in at the front office before being directed to the sand bag area. 

This service is available during normal business hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and if residents need bags after these hours they can call the City’s Dispatch center at (503) 786-7500 and an on-call person will be contacted to open the gate.
