Safeway Store at 42nd Avenue and King Road on Track

Safeway was pretty much ready to start awhile back, but then decided it wanted to reconstruct the gas station located on the corner of Harrison Street and 42nd Avenue. That application is under review by the Planning Department and will go before the Planning Commission on June 27th. Safeway’s intention is to construct the gas station and grocery store at the same time, so it’s holding off until approval. Once approved by the Planning Commission, construction is expected to begin soon thereafter.
