City Staff Maps the Next Steps of the Portland to Milwaukie Light Rail Outreach
Effort![]()
Staff from Milwaukie and Metro addressed City Council at its March 20th meeting to recap the results of the March 5th Light Rail Open House and to discuss future outreach efforts.
Metro distributed a report on the Open House's findings and Milwaukie staff talked about a series of meetings to be scheduled in April that will more closely examine three segments of the proposed Milwaukie alignment: the southern portion that includes the Island Station Neighborhood and the Oak Grove area, the middle portion which focuses on the Historic Milwaukie Neighborhood, and the northern section that focuses on the Ardenwald Neighborhood and the North Industrial Area. Once the meeting details are confirmed they will be posted to the City's website.
Staff also announced that the Citizen Advisory Committee for the project will be taking applications until April 16th. All who are interested are encouraged to apply.
