Attend a Free Class on Slowing Traffic in Your Neighborhood

Slowing Neighborhood traffic and creating safer streets are practically universally shared goals of the City’s citizens. 

University of Portland Dr. Takallou holds a doctorate in traffic engineering, and on Feb. 28th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Public Safety Building (3200 SE Harrison St.) he will provide a free class focusing on common road and street hazards and the practical ways road and street safety can be improved. The class will also cover the proper use of traffic control devices, traffic calming and best roadway safety practices. 

For the past 20 years, Dr. Takallou has presented over 500 Highways, Roads and Street Safety workshops with over 10,000 participants throughout Oregon. The class will feature a lecture but participants are encouraged to ask questions throughout the presentation.
