Number of employees in Department/Division:  32 Sworn Officers, 7 Dispatch Personnel, 3 Records Personnel, 1 Staff Assistant, 1 Delivery Clerk and 1 Crime Technician

Department/Division Primary Mission and Responsibilities: Provide the community with twenty-four hour, seven days per week emergency response, traffic enforcement, investigative and Community Oriented Policing Services.

Brief Description of the types of Projects, Programs and Services typically conducted by the department: The Department participates in Community Oriented Problem Solving activities that focus resources on community livability that feature safe and accessible neighborhoods.  The Department also participates in police task forces such as: drugs, gangs, hi-tech crime, homicide team, juvenile, Tri-Met, domestic violence, sex abuse, child abuse, traffic blitzes, etc. to create safe environments.  In addition, we have two School Resource Officers who serve all of the schools in the City.
