The City of Milwaukie and a number of other jurisdictions partnered with the State of Oregon three years ago, in a pilot program called “Quick Permits”, to offer licensed contractors the opportunity to apply, pay for and receive permits on-line for many “over the counter” plumbing, electrical and mechanical permits.
The popularity of the program prompted the state to expand with a new version called “ePermitting Basic Services”, offering contractors additional services to manage their on line permits simply by logging onto the secure web site at www.buildingpermits.oregon.gov and setting up an account. This new version retains the history of all permit authorizations allowing contractors to create custom reports to tracking permits and fees paid over a specific time period, links and resources to helpful web sites, jurisdiction contact information, locating addresses and much more.
