The Water division maintains all the components that comprise the City's infrastructure, valued at over $16,516,356. The various components of the system include: 100 miles of water main, 964 fire hydrants, 6,911 water services, 7 well houses, 3 storage reservoirs and 4 pump stations. The Division's mission's are to maintain the system in a sustainable manner, at the lowest cost to the rate payer, provide our customers with water that meets or exceeds all federal and state water quality requirements and to continue an aggressive education program for our City of Milwaukie water utility employees, to keep up with changing technology, rules and regulations. This division develops, projects and oversees the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for the Water infrastructure.
